We returned to Tucson for Banjo Blaster Gigs and Doctor appointments, but we've actually spent more time in Portal this month than we did in Tucson! We intend for that to be the norm as the year progresses.
Our youngest grandson Greg, turned one January 27th and we were in Tucson for his party. It was mostly a party of Grandparents and Aunts & Uncles. Wesley & Greg were the only kids there.
Greg is walking and talking a little. Wes has the vocabulary of a 5 year old, though he is only 3 1/2. He's lots of fun and he comes to spend a day with us when we are in Tucson.
This has been a good winter for rain, and decent snow on the mountains, but the rain will probably produce a bumper crop of wildflowers come April. We have had two days of steady light rain this weekend and got about 2" so far and it's still raining.
We drove over to Rodeo New Mexico this morning for a fundraising rummage sale & saw a beautiful Prairie Falcon sitting on a telephone pole.
The birds in our yard have been busy feeding, even in the rain, and also the skunks, fox and raccoons at night. Today I watched a large flock of Cedar Waxwings in the Sycamore trees in our neighbors yard. Our yard has no Sycamore trees, but we can see the birds from our yard.
